Better Than Cotton Socks
By Cold on 29 Oct. 2011
They're better than just cotton socks, and keep the moisture away from my feet. However, in 4-6 degrees C water, I still need a pair of extra thick 2.5 tog socks on top just to keep it bearable.
The Best Thermal Diving Socks
By Bernard G on 06 Dec. 2014
These thermal diving socks from Northern Diver do what it says on the tin - They’re hot and they’re socks..! Tried a number of different drysuit sock manufacturers over the last 15 years, all with varying degrees of success. Some socks were warm, some comfortable, some at a great price and I don’t know why I didn’t try NDiver first, as my Northern Diver Neoprene drysuit has outlasted all the other drysuits I have had over the years and has given me the warmest most comfortable dives of any drysuit. These drysuit socks tick all the boxes, super warm, very comfortable and at less than a tenner, they won’t break into the overseas dive trip fund.. My feet have never been warmer. Thanks Northern Diver, should have trusted you first, before splashing the cash on more expensive imitations ;-)
Hot Sox Keep Their Promise
By Andy Piggott on 19 Mar. 2015
I started using my Hot Sox from the start of the season, with seabed temperatures around 7C and have found them to be very good. I wear them over a pair of ankle socks and they have been comfortable to wear and nice and warm as well. I find that they also help getting in and out of my drysuit as their smooth texture slides easily in the legs of the drysuit. They are quite thin and have replaced a very bulky thick pair of socks, which I used previously. My only reservation is that they will probably not last as long as a thick pair of socks. However, at the price, I would definately say that they are worth it.
