Varilux Micro Rechargeable Dive Torch
The Varilux Micro is a compact, rechargeable dive torch designed for use as a primary light for travelling divers or as a backup light for recreational, technical and professional diving applications.
The torch uses a single SST40 LED with a maximum output of 1600 lumens. Its approximately 8° focused beam produces a beam distance of up to 330m (1082ft) with a beam intensity of 28,000cd, providing a concentrated beam for use in low-visibility conditions, night diving, wreck penetration and general underwater inspection.
The body is manufactured from #6063 aluminium and is depth rated to 100m (328ft). The torch has an IPX8 waterproof rating and an impact resistance rating of 1m (3.3ft). At 145mm (5.7") in length and 35.5mm (1.4") in diameter, with a weight of 185g (0.4lbs) including the battery, the Micro is suitable for carrying in a drysuit or BCD pocket or securing to equipment using the supplied wrist lanyard.
Power is provided by a rechargeable 18650 3400mAh battery. Runtime is up to 3 hours on High and up to 29 hours on Low. The battery requires approximately 5.5 hours to recharge via the supplied USB charging cable.
Operation is controlled using a single push-button switch, providing straightforward access to the available output levels. The torch is supplied with a storage case, wrist lanyard, USB charging cable and user manual.
