Varilux Travel Rechargeable Dive Torch
The Varilux Travel is a compact rechargeable dive torch designed for surface and underwater use. It is suitable for recreational diving, watersports, general underwater illumination, navigation and use as a primary or backup light.
The torch uses a single XPH50 LED with a maximum output of 2600 lumens and a specified LED lifespan of 60,000 hours. Two output levels are available: 2600 lumens on High and 1300 lumens on Low.
The approximately 14° beam provides a combination of concentrated central illumination and wider peripheral coverage. Maximum beam distance is specified at 210m (689ft), with a beam intensity of 12,000cd and a colour temperature of 5700–7000K.
The housing is manufactured from #6063 aluminium and has an impact resistance rating of 1m (3.3ft). The torch is IPX8 waterproof and depth rated to 100m (328ft), providing protection for underwater operation within its specified depth rating.
Power is supplied by one rechargeable 21700 5000mAh battery. Runtime is specified at 2.5 hours on High and 4.5 hours on Low. The battery is recharged using the supplied magnetic USB charging cable, with an approximate charging time of 3.5 hours.
Operation is controlled through a single-button switch. The torch measures 150 × 36 × 36mm (5.9 × 1.4 × 1.4in) and weighs 0.2kg (0.4lbs) including the battery. A wrist lanyard is supplied for retention during use.
