Varilux Zoom Torch
The Varilux Zoom Torch is a rechargeable, high-output torch designed for surface and underwater applications, including diving, rescue, commercial operations, inspection and general low-light use.
The torch uses a single CREE XHP50 LED with a maximum output of 3400 lumens and a specified LED lifespan of 100,000 hours. A Mid output setting of 2200 lumens is also available.
The adjustable beam system provides a range from an 11° focused spotlight to a 73° flood beam. At the narrowest setting, the torch has a specified beam distance of up to 390m (1280ft), with a beam intensity of 38,000cd. The adjustable beam allows the light distribution to be changed according to the application, from concentrated long-range illumination to wider-area lighting.
The torch body is manufactured from #6063 aluminium and has an impact resistance rating of 1m (3.3ft). It is IPX8 waterproof and depth rated to 100m (328ft) for underwater use.
Power is supplied by one rechargeable 26650 5000mAh battery. Runtime is specified at 3.5–5.5 hours, depending on operating mode. The integrated USB charging system provides an approximate charging time of 3 hours.
Operation is controlled through a single push-button switch. The torch measures 190 × 53.4 × 53.4mm (7.5 × 2.1 × 2.1in) and weighs 0.5kg (1.1lbs) including the battery. A wrist lanyard is supplied for retention during operation.
